In between jobs, stopping to have a moment with my new socks!
I had forgotten how good a pair of knit socks can feel!
It’s like a hug…FOR MY FEET!
These aren’t blocked yet. But, I’m wearing them anyway…because I can.
They just feel so nice!
About a year ago, I bought a pair of shoes for the next time I would knit some socks for myself. Ta da!
Cute, huh?
Yeah, I am probably going to look like a kid with these on my feet. But, judging by how everyone assumes I’m an eighth grader, I figure my face kind of beat them to it anyway, lol.

Those are so gorgeous! Incredibly well done – from start to finish. And those jelly shoes… I’ve seen them for sale at yarn shops, but I thought they’d look weird. They work though (and of course show off your socks)! Maybe I’ll actually get a pair.
Thanks Gwen Erin! That is exactly why I got these shoes!! I have had them for over a year though and never wore them because I never knit myself a pair…I found them when we moved back. So, I decided to remedy the lack of a pair of knit socks this year, lol! I suppose I will need to knit some more to justify buying the shoes at this point, ha ha!
Confession: I hardly ever wear socks. Well, I hardly ever buy socks. My grandma buys me a pack of white socks every Christmas and occasionally I’ll throw in a pair of gray ankle socks for exercising. But with cute shoes like that, it makes wearing cool socks a must! Love your socks and shoes. Where did you find those by the way? (If I haven’t already given myself away, I hate shopping.)
Thanks Libby! You do? Well, I don’t hate shopping. I just hate shopping for clothes, lol! Now, stuff to make things you wear? I love that kind of shopping!
I got the shoes from a place called Knitter’s Dream. You can find them here.

Well, I do love craft shopping and thrifting, but regular clothes shopping or looking for a particular thing for me to wear for a particular occasion, not so much. lol Thanks for the link!
Those shoes are a sock-knitters dream! And who needs to block a sock anyway? I never do, I feel they get blocked on my feet while I wear them…
Thanks! I figure since I’m not giving them to anyone, I can get away without the blocking, bad girl that I am and all, lol!
Yes, you should have happy, proud feet to wear such wonderful socks…I got to get busy and knit more socks…and the shoes look fun and comfortable to wear! Hooray, Stacey!!!
Thanks Gracie! I like these socks a lot…so I’ve got to make some more quick or I will wear this one pair out, lol!
WOAH! See-through clogs! I love them. So cool …
You’re so fast in sock-knitting! For me, it always takes ages to do them … I usually need a couple of DVDs to finish mine. Well done! And you can tell from the pictures already that they’re really, really soft.
They feel so nice!! But I usually take about three days to complete socks. I think these were shorter because the yarn isn’t exactly sock yarn weight. These are cushy socks. Not exactly slippers. But not exactly socks that I would wear with loafers or anything like that either. They are really soft though!
Yeah…I only bother with the blocking (for socks, at least) if they’re not for me. Otherwise, it’s straight from FO to feet.
Your new socks are fantastic! So bright and happy. Yay!
Thanks Emily! I’m glad to know I’m not the only one that feels that way. I want instant gratification…yesterday.
Love, love, love those socks! There’s nothing in the world as comfy as hand knit socks.
So, so true! I’m trying to figure out if I can make some more socks out of this handspun that has been sitting here since the guild meeting…
Just wanted to let you know that I’ve nominated you for an award. Meander over to my blog for details when you have a moment.
Thank you again caityrosey! That was really nice.
uuu those clogs are cool! want!
Hey Rina!! I like them too. This is the first time I got to wear them and I only want to wear them with handknit socks, lol. I’d better get to work, right?
