“Is the mic…on? Happy New Year, everybody! ” (Nervously shuffles notecards)
“Ummm…In 2013, I plan to knit some more…”
“…and spin some more. ” (Releases a sigh of relief.)
“That’s probably about it.” (Laughs out loud.)
Well, not exactly…There’s weaving too. And maybe I will grow up and learn to count my yardage at the end of a spin (I think a little bit of me just died). Sometimes (that’s better). And I may possibly try to write out at least one pattern rather than winging stuff all the time. That might be nice.
In other New Years news, it would seem, I received an annual report for this blog from WordPress. Apparently, they compile info for the blogs across the platform. Sweet! Not exactly sure what all I will do with that information…but it’s REALLY pretty!
2012 in review
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
19,000 people fit into the new Barclays Center to see Jay-Z perform. This blog was viewed about 61,000 times in 2012. If it were a concert at the Barclays Center, it would take about 3 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.

“Is the mic still on? Crafty people rock so hard! Thanks so much to everyone who visited me here this past year and I hope you’ll visit again.”
Take that Jay-Z!

Happy New Year to you! Rock on!
Thanks Jenny! I’ll try!
Happy New Year! Can’t wait to see what knitting, spinning and weaving you do in 2013.
Thanks Emily! And same to you. Love to see what you’re working on. How you manage so many projects at once, blows my mind.
Congrats on a great year! And keep up those gorgeous photo’s!
Aww, thanks! Hopefully, I will have some time to work on my photography this year too. We’ll see how many extra hours I can fit into a day…
Happy New Year to you! Thanks for being such an inspiration with your beautiful knitting. I can’t imagine how you can squeeze in any more. I have restarted my socks about six times now. I had to put them down and walk away for awhile. Everytime I learn a little more though. Maybe this will be the year when I make something other than a scarf.
Oh yeah! Socks are so fun though. Once you do get it down, after you’ve done it a few times, you’ll be able to knit a basic sock with just a measurement!
Happy New Year! Sounds like my plan too.
Yeah, I love to keep things simple!
