Waiting For Blue

Yep. That's what I'm doing.

You ever notice that you spend a lot of time in life waiting on things? I have to admit, I'm not a good waiter. And as I get older, I think I get worse.

Aren't these some cute extras?!

You know, waiting for something to happen that isn't happening yet gets very tiring. I am fortunate enough to have a working vehicle. But, I can't wait until the car note is paid off. Fortunate enough to have a paying job. But, I can't wait until I am through the accompanying classes that came with it. Fortunate enough to have money to get something to eat. But I can't wait to get through the lines. You want a green light, you get red. Need a red one? Nope, you get green. It never ends. One truth about life is if it is something you really want now, doesn't matter the what, you WILL wait for it.

Case in point, how awesome is it that these lovelies look as great in my hands as they looked on the screen where I first saw them? How great that I got them within the week I ordered them? But even with these, I could feel myself impatiently spinning through the green, waiting for the blue to arrive on the bobbin. Now, I'm waiting for orange! Silly, huh? Because in the great scheme of things, things happen when they happen.

And, if you're not careful, you might rush past some truly beautiful moments along the way to where you're going.

Look at the halo on that!

Sometimes, you just have to sit back and enjoy the ride.

The parcel has arrived, thank you so, so much! I wrote about that in my last blog entry! I was over the moon with joy, it is a fantastic read and I really want to save enough to buy my first spinning wheel next year! :D

  2. Gorgeous fiber on your wheel … I’m still spinning my BFL/Silk blend and plan to have it off the bobbins next week :)
