Giving Thanks, Lighthouses & Rows

I strapped on my ankle weights and climbed to the top of Currituck Beach Lighthouse yesterday. I actually made it. As everything else I have seen here, though the season is getting cooler, it was gorgeous.

My crew had mixed feelings about getting up there.

But everyone felt pretty accomplished at the top.

This young fella is our resident basketball all-star. He wants to be in the NBA someday. He is, however, not liking the heights…which is normally a requirement. šŸ™‚

Girl Child didn’t want her photo op. She bummed a ride to the top anyway. Six year olds have the life.

And here is my current other WIP.

Finish by the end of this week? We’ll see. Still have to finish the scarf and start some Christmas dish/washcloths. Plenty more rows to go.

Happy Thanks to you! šŸ™‚

  1. Your family (and friends perhaps) look great. Glad you had a great time. The sweater looks amazing!!! Again, Happy Thanksgiving!

    • Thanks!! Yes, you are right. The other family is my husband’s best friend and his kids. I like this sweater. It’s neutral. But I think paired with some kakis and a colorful top, it’ll be a nice accessory. šŸ™‚

  2. Wow! What a way to have Thanksgiving. I would have not minded climbing up to the top. You look like you all had a lot of fun. Your W.I.P looks delightful.
