Colorful Life

How's that for Easter egg colors?

For all of you that celebrate the holiday, I hope you all had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday! I certainly did.

Just thought I'd hop on here for a minute and share these pics…

This fiber really does remind me of Easter eggs now, lol! I think one day I am going to have to stop skimping and figure out how to get these colors more saturated. But for now, this is actually much more appropriate than I could've planned! Life has such funny coincidences, doesn't it? 🙂

Hmmm…it is turning out to be a default spin too. That means I should get it done fairly soon!

So, I tried to get a full photo of my family right before church. Had a little trouble with that. For one, the light wasn't working in my favor…and, uh…one of us was a little uncooperative, lol! But, she really does mean well. 😉

Nevertheless, from my family to yours…

Happy Easter!

My youngest daughter has tried cool-aid dying fiber…just one color that turned out a beautiful aqua blue which she used to start hooking a rug. Your fiber is lovely…yes much like Easter eggs. I’m glad you are having a good Spring Break and loved your family photo…even if Girl Child zigged when you hoped she would zag 🙂 We have had two days of sunshine, 70 degree temps. and wonderful flowering trees…I posted some pics to encourage those still in the clutches of winter. Blessings to you and yours.

    • That sounds beautiful! I’m really interested in bluer-hues lately. Well, my stash has a lot of greens…so I’m looking to diversify. 🙂

Our weather is getting brighter. But it still has a little nip in it. I’m grateful for whatever we can get though!

She ALWAYS zigs around here, lol! She has recently discovered the power of the word “No.” So, we’re in for more zigging, I suppose…

  2. Happy Easter to you too! Blessing and Happiness, love, nia

  3. Happy belated Easter! You and your family are beautiful!

  4. That yarn is beautiful as is your family. Hope you had great Easter.

  5. I love those colors! yay for pretty pastels.

  6. Happy Easter! You have a beautiful family. I have only been knitting a short while, but every time I see spinning, I think it looks fun. I’m afraid that may be the first step down a very slippery slope…

    • You know, it probably would be, lol! But, once you got the hang of it, I think you’d love it!! There are some blogging buddies that I have met since being on WP that have tried it…and they seem to have a good time with it…Here are where their archives start…If you click through to where they are now in their spinning now…Well, I think watching the process of learning to spin is amazing! You might too!

This is a blogging buddy who has been spinning for quite a good while now. I started with her tag archives.

And another blogging buddy who spins so much fiber, it’s no wonder she’s always getting more stash! I’m just posting the link to her blog because it’s a snapshot of what happens when the addiction sets in, lol.

You can see, nobody ever really gives up knitting…and sometimes they pick up other stuff along the way too. There are times when you have spells of doing one thing more than others. But, it’s all enjoyable. Why restrict yourself, right? 😉

      • Thank you for the links! I WOULD like to see how one starts spinning so I will check them out. Restricting myself has never been a problem! 🙂

  7. Happy Easter to you too!!! Lovely family!!! And you’re so dang adorable; you remind me of my friend Stacy! The resemblance is uncanny and she has the SAME hairstyle too! LOLOL!

    • Thank you, Nicky!

Lol! If I only had a penny for the times I have heard that during my lifetime! I think I have a universal face or something… 🙂

    What a lovely family =]

  12. Gorgeous family! Those pastels are very nice, I tend to err on the side of oversaturated.
